CHOICE signs Digital Intimacy Coalition Shared Statement

We are thrilled to announce our endorsement of a powerful shared statement that champions digital rights, intimacy, and self-expression. This declaration aligns seamlessly with our core values and the CHOICE Code, emphasizing safety, inclusivity, and ethical conduct in paid companionship services.

Shared Statement

During the past weeks the participants of the coalition have worked on a shared statement that was published last week:

"We believe that the advent of digital technology has significantly transformed our societies, reshaping old spaces and offering new ones for the exploration of intimacy and self-expression both online and offline. However, these spaces have been colonized by big corporations, driven mainly by commercial greed, who have no respect for fundamental rights or our safety and exacerbate forms of discrimination, particularly for the historically marginalized. The technology we want has to empower people, making us strong even when we are naked, to foster empathy and to apply a truly holistic approach for shaping the way these tools interact with our intimate lives."

Our Commitment

Our commitment to this statement reflects our dedication to fostering a digital landscape that prioritizes the safety, privacy, and rights of all individuals, particularly those involved in paid companionship. In line with our mission, we are closely monitoring and advocating for policies and practices that enhance digital safety and inclusivity. That is why we are especially excited and honored to be part of this coalition which was initiated by a number of activists including Alessandro Polidoro who was part of the initiative to write and open letter to the EU Commission that led to the designation of several large adult entertainment platforms as Very Large Online Platforms (VLOPs).
